Gel Plate Printing

Gel plate printing is a method of printmaking without a press. We will use Golden OPEN Acrylics as ink because it has the perfect consistency and stays wet much longer than heavy body or fluid acrylics. 

Even if you’ve never printed or painted before, you’ll quickly catch on to this fun experience of layering beautiful papers with Golden OPEN and gel plates. You can use photo transfers, stencils, stamps, leaves, silicone tools to layer one color over another, one texture over another. They may be intuitive, literal, experimental, or put into an order that tells a story.   

Your prints can be used in collage, journaling, turned into cards, framed on their own or used in larger works.

We will make a box with a lid!
